Most people who land here have already been quoted by half a dozen brokers in the last 90 days. They've gotten the canned scripts, the high-pressure follow-up texts, the same plan pitched to every household regardless of whether it actually fits.

I'm Zachary Sands. I run ZTS Insurance Group as an independent broker, licensed across 35 states. The conversation I want to have with you is not the conversation those other brokers had with you.

I came to insurance because I wanted to build something direct. Self-employed people, between-jobs households, families navigating a new baby or a job change — these are the people who need a real broker the most and usually get the laziest version of the work. The carriers don't care; the captive agents don't have time; the lead-mill outfits hand you off twice before you talk to someone who knows your file.

ZTS Insurance Group was built to fill the gap. One broker, one phone number, one inbox. You text me, I read it. You fill out the intake, I run the comparison myself. You get straight answers about what fits, what doesn't, and why.

The independent broker advantage

Independent means I'm not captive to any carrier. I'm appointed with UnitedHealthcare, Allstate, F&G, Foresters, and Transamerica — the same five carriers any solid private-market broker should have access to. None of them sets my agenda.

When I run a quote, the result that wins is the carrier that fits your numbers. Sometimes that's UHC's TriTerm. Sometimes it's an Allstate HealthBridge PPO. Sometimes it's an ACA Marketplace plan with subsidies that makes everything else look expensive. Sometimes the right answer is "your spouse's employer plan" and the conversation ends in five minutes with nothing for me to sell.

That's how it should work. The independent label means nothing if the broker behind it has a quota with one carrier and pretends not to.

Mission

ZTS Insurance Group's standard: every intake is read by me before any plan gets recommended. Every proposal explains what each plan actually does for your situation. Every call ends with you understanding more than you did when it started.

If a private plan fits, we'll enroll you. If ACA fits, I'll route you and help with the application. If neither fits and you should stay on what you have, that's what I'll tell you. I'd rather build a small book of clients who refer their cousin than a big book of clients who cancel inside 90 days.
